ABOUT
Surgical Business Management Group (SBMG) was founded in 2019 by Blake Stock and Paul Rhodes. With over 40 years combined experience in healthcare, we realized there was limited support and direction for surgical business management professionals to navigate the complexities of surgery. The scope of work and the breadth of knowledge required to lead in the business of surgery are paramount to the success of any hospital or surgical facility, and ultimately impact patient care. We want to empower the individuals responsible for a successful business management strategy with the tools to get ahead and avoid the pitfalls we experienced over the years.
SBMG's objective is to set the standard of excellence for surgical business management. We offer online microcredentials where learners can earn their badges in surgical expense management, business operations, resource utilization, and revenue optimization. Our curriculum will help both clinical and non-clinical operating room leadership develop strategies to integrate the critical non-clinical business functions that are required for successful outcomes in an operating room.
